Tbh with you OP Neath has gone downhill over the past few years and the town centre is a right shithole these days on the whole. Couple of decent pubs but that's it. |

Like others have said theirs not really much there anymore ..Not far from swansea tho which has a better night life and beaches depending on what your after .. |

Council has killed neath with its high rentals for shops. Lots of big names gone now. They are building another monstrosity like the ugly car park which is another leasure centre we dont really need. Neath is a dump to be honest now and port talbot is even worse. |

Swansea is only 1 train stop away from Neath.
You can also get a train to Cardiff & because the return comes from London the last train is often around midnight. |

That's sad, must be ten years since I've been there I suppose, used to stay there sometimes when we went to the rugby, assured of a warm welcome wearing a kilt in there |

There are nice walks, the Gnoll park, and a short drive to Pont Nedd Fechan, beautiful waterfall walks. Also short drive to Swansea, and then the Gower. If you like cycling, there's Afan forest, excellent for mountain biking. But the town has gone downhill.
