Oh god yes. Being an ex forces vet with PTSD I don't often sleep well at the best of times. With no work and lots of restrictions I find I have too much time to think about things. Often wishing I had a chat buddy in the wee hours. Awake since 0349hrs this morning lol

No I learned at a time of prolonged huge stress to differentiate between those things that are within my control and those that aren't. It's a blessing now

I've moved off permanent Nights, as work closed down under rules.

Still trying to adapt to sleeping overnight for 7 nts. A GP in past said when I either retire or move onto a f/t day job, I could find it takes up to 9 months to adjust my body Clock.

I think my body just wants to sleep it all away. Have more trouble staying awake now, although all this sleep is bringing horrible dreams with it.

I'm also a Vet who's had Ptsd issues which to be fair have been much better in recent years but all of this isn't helping my sleep and stress levels.

I'm also a key-worker for the council currently running an emergency support 7 days a week call centre for the most vulnerable.

Some of the calls are tough going on the operators and staff there's lots of people in dire circumstances out there, after my shift I spent a few extra hours delivering extra food parcels to the most needy. I was dead on my feet and could have slept stood up yet when it comes to bed time can I fuck sleep.

No problem feeling desperate to sleep in the day tho.

Stay safe

Jay

"No problems at all.

lucky you are you still working"

Was working from home for two weeks, furloughed on Friday.

I have a different outlook on life than most. The worst thing that could happen has already happened to me. I went to bed one night with three children, woke up with two. My only son had died in the night.

Don't get me wrong, it's a worry but it's not affecting my sleep.

It's very poor atm and the increasing daylight period isn't helping. Our environments will seem different too, such as quieter, which is unsettling. It's a time of increased stress and anxiety, with major changes imposed on to us, which is a poor recipe for rest.

No problem going to sleep but then wake up every couple of hours or so with my heartrate through the roof. Have to get up for an hour then repeat, going to sleep for a couple of hours and wake again with racing heart, get up for an hour. Then one final two hour sleep waking with racing heartrate. Started on the night Boris announced the current restrictions. Strange.

As a bad insomniac I find getting to sleep hard at the best of times. With this lockdown I'm finding everything bluring and losing track with days etc. My gf suggested in keeping a daily plan so I don't go stir crazy with being indoors.

Don't know. Its not like I'm having bad dreams to make my heart race. Hace adapted to lock down. Live alone, working from home, one jog or bike a day. No logic. My boss said today she's started struggling and woke up anxious last night. Need a psychologist!!
