Liverpool by a long way, special late night opening licences and friendlier city. Also small enough that you cant get to lost!

I'm being honest. Ive lived and drank in Manchester all my life. And the city centre is full of idiots of a night. There's nowhere I'd avoid more.

There are some nice bars/clubs opening, but that just attracts more d'heads.

If you do go. The northern quarter is safe, you won't get into a fight.

Peter street (near the opera house) is okay now. Casino is nearby as well.

I'd still try Liverpool though.

Liverpool

Canal Street in Manchester is a hoot but for a night out with the lads then it's got to be Liverpool

socially distanced

If you're going out in Liverpool I'd advise missing concert square so you don't risk being stabbed/glasses x

Liverpool

Lots of bars around Central Station, Charlotte Street. Four Smokey Mo's, Tess Rileys, Ruby Blues etc. Then a two minutes walk away from Bold Street.
