Hi,
We have had an invite to our first house party and just wondered if there are any unwritten rules around house parties? We have been to clubs and had meets but not a house party.
I'm assuming we should take a couple of bottles of wine as we would for a dinner party but we didn't know if there was anything else we should bear in mind.
Sorry for the "newbie" question. 
We are really looking forward to it.

Have a chat to the hosts and ask them how the evening usually goes. Maybe ask who else is going so you can chat in advance. All parties are different. People often chat for a while and mingle, then go off for fun in the bedroom(s).

If it's a good party, there will be no pressure on anyone to do anything. My advice would be to go with an open mind and just be yourselves. Take some drinks , maybe some nibbles. Have fun guys! |

Certainly take a bottle or two, just out of courtesy though often hosts provide drinks.
You can certainly dress down at some point while your there and the rest is up to you.
Oh and dont forget the condoms !! |

We have had our own party and been to house parties! Ours tend to be with with the same group/people we know so very laid back. Drinks, nibbles no expectations of fun but if it happens bonus xx
Maybe ask the host if they have any plans for the night as i know some do, and it can be a bit of a surprise when you get there!
But just be yourself, relax and have fun!! X |

There is always a temptation to drink too much but don't. Secondly just be yourself and chat to people in general its not a million ways away from a club just less people in most cases. Hope you enjoy |

Thanks everyone.
We don't drink much so we should be ok on that front. The hosts have said they will send a guest list out a few days before so it'll be fun to see who else is going.
We are interested to see how it differs from a club night.
Roll on next weekend!
