Thinking of giving it a go, has anyone done it? What are the benefits?

I need to get back into it myself. Did it a few years ago.

It's a he'll of a workout, helps loosen you up too. I've noticed a big drop in my flexibility since I stopped

I love it... Did the weekend retreat thing to get started, neglected it lately although that's all about to change n I might even have persuade John to come along. Great for the mind as well as the body. It's not for everyone but definitely worth a go

Cool, there's a class at my gym that I might give a go to see how I get on. I'd love to do box fit but it runs too late for me starting work and it's only once a week

I did it for a while, and as people say, great workout for body and mind!

Also definitely notice a real increase in flexibility over time as well as strength and fitness. I'm definitely getting back into it!

I was actually just looking at beginner classes this week in the south side and considering it. I am the least bendy person there is.

I might give it a shot and see how I get on.

Any recommendations from anyone of good places in the south side?

I have already done that part. I do function in the modern world. But I like to see if anyone has a recommendation and why they like that place in particular.

I tried "hot yoga" a couple weeks back. It was ummm .... an experiance. Basically your in a gym room with the heating turned on full blast. Whilst you are doing the yoga, your body is sweating resulting in a more intense yoga session. Apparently the heat & steam is suppose to be good for the skin too as it opens the pores etc.

After the session, my body was agony, but I felt somewhat lighter.

I am 55 years old and don't see the point on sitting on my arse in front of a telly or a pub for that matter.

I get up and do things. I have been lucky all my life to have access to classes where I can enjoy alternative exercise. I am a practicing Buddhist and martial artist and have been able to participate within a particular community

You have your opinion, and that's all it is. I get up and make things happen to make my life a better place

Doesn't make me a dreamer

I prefer Pilates. Has definitely helped with other training and relaxing. Best result has been the better sex due to the pelvic floor work.

Go straight in and do the bikram yoga... Quicker and better result. Do it when I'm back in Glasgow and it's fab... Just wish I could do it all the time as would have more benefits
