Every language, every time - the music that would open up to you would be enlightening

Being an accomplished musician means you can speak to everyone regardless of language.

Languages... currently trying to learn Gaelic, my old brain is finding it so hard. Wish I'd learnt more languages as a kid

"Being an accomplished musician means you can speak to everyone regardless of language."

It's the only language everyone understands

Languages. I speak fluent Italian due to family. I have a fair grasp of French and I bought a book for learning German last week due to potential future job in Munich.

Music definitely - when I have travelled I've met some great folks through the music which is a common interest - if you could talk every language you might find out you had little to talk about!

Music is a language so for me its not a choice between them. Maths is also a language. My reason for music is it is beauty! My reason for all spoken language is to be able to understand everyone! My reason for maths is it is the builing block of life!!! .

Agree with above music is a language in its own right.

I am currently trying to write notations for my band and I've not looked at written music in years. Suddenly I am in a position where I need to learn fast.

I speak Scots, a little French, Italian, Spanish and Hungarian.

Music is the language of life for me
