Boris was not an unknown quantity, in fact the opposite was the case. People need to choose their leaders with more consideration. These decisions have consequences. |

He certainly doesn't seem to be following the pre-written and well-established protocols for an outbreak of Covid 19 in 2020/2021 but does seem to be making all the decisions on his own without taking advice from anyone else. Terrible leadership. |

in 3 weeks and 3 days it will have been a full year since covid appeared on these islands. a full year of Johnson failing to act in time, a full year of johnson languishing miles behind the curve, a full year of attempting to revise down the advise of his own scientists to fit his churchillian 'londoners in the blitz' narrative. it's sickening and high time the man grew a spine and fell on his sword.

Johnson ain’t going anywhere soon . The Tories would have to choose another leader and quite frankly they haven’t got one . Or a least no one who wants to put their head up above this parapet! .. No the Tories will just keep egging him on to rah rah blah blah the public . At the end of the day if you wanted a political excuse for any adverse effects of Brexit you couldn’t pick a better one than a global pandemic ... And he’s now best buddy’s with Starmer! so much so when both are out of a job in 2025 .. Starmer will end up as Johnson’s legal advisor on the best place to stash all the dosh !

Fact is we had more time than most of the counties in Europe to prepare, it was wasted and we will undoubtedly have one of the worst death tolls and rates in Europe and are set for the worst recession. being 10th out of 48 is giving us a bit too much credit when you look at the countries with higher death rates per million such as San Marino (62 deaths) & Liechtenstein (45 deaths) none of the countries above us had the advantage of being an island or the extra time we had. |

The Government constantly reference great British Common Sense, are you saying this has failed us?
Even in a far more sensible country like Sweden this didn't really work when you compare it to it's neighbours where the governments locked down.

He's massively incompetent, he doesn't like making decisions, he's lazy, cares to much about some anti-lockdown loons in his party and doesn't actually follow scientific advice a lot of the time and he U-Turns every couple of days, despite refencing the economy a lot we are set for the worst recession in the g7 and look set to have one of the death rates in Europe.
Given all of this I think virtually anyone could have done better than him, even if they just copied Nicola a bit sooner.

10th out of 48 by that measure that's still pretty bad isn't it?
Don’t be to harsh, we now have the best strain of the Virus, it is world beating , faster than all the others , the all conquering British strain
You guys really do need to get out of your little bubble, pun intended and check the european stories to understand what is happening at least europe wide if not world wide

My point is lets keep it perspective and not over dramatise.
Fact is we had more time than most of the counties in Europe to prepare, it was wasted and we will undoubtedly have one of the worst death tolls and rates in Europe and are set for the worst recession. being 10th out of 48 is giving us a bit too much credit when you look at the countries with higher death rates per million such as San Marino (62 deaths) & Liechtenstein (45 deaths) none of the countries above us had the advantage of being an island or the extra time we had.
Once again unsubstantiated twodle

I dont believe are better or worse than many countries, each has it's own individual circumstances causing benefits or negatives, we have a large bame population, are fatter and older than a lot which cause issues.
Some countries suffered early on others later, Germany had few deaths during the first wave but now they are getting nearly twice ours each day. Ours might rise again we can only pray they dont. Its easy to criticise but not to have to actually balance all the issues. |

Lack of decisiveness, poor choices in cabinet selection, constant U-turns and failing in the objective of preventing a 2nd lockdown: we're now on our 3rd.
Yes, it's been a challenging year for world leaders during this pandemic. But the fact remains that he was too late in his response to this crisis and has been playing catch up ever since.
That Priti Patel has come forward claiming that they've been one step ahead of each problem is laughable.
