What's your favourite pub?

I'm a pub kinda bloke. What's your favourite pub in your town, city? Another city? The world?
In London mine's probably The Princess Louise in Holborn. It's a museum piece.
In the world probably The Cricketers in Sydney by the SCG.
Ye Olde Fighting Cocks in St Albans is up there with Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem for going back in time.
Gimme pubs to visit. Maybe don't put your local in case of stalkers  |

Yeah, think the owner prefers it be known as a Punk bar rather than Metal. I used play and promote Metal gigs there a lot. |

I've had some amazing drinking sessions there when I go back home. So lovely and amazing alcohol! The Fox in Harpenden is brilliant in the summer as is Cross Keys. Both have special places in my heart. CK has an amazing beer garden and some great local acoustic acts sometimes do a little gig. |

I've been to many good pubs all over the country so it's hard to name one. My favourite local one to me is "The House Of Trembling Madness" in York though, it's a tiny medieval drinking hall full of stuffed animal heads and other curiosities with dim lighting and big old looking candles on the tables melting heaps of wax on them, a a skylight window with the minster looming over it. Great place and sells good strong hoppy beer, not pissy lagers. |

Ahhh, I've just remembered about the Fountain Inn, Gloucester. Great beers, cracking steaks and well priced for a city centre boozer. The beer garden on a summer afternoon is an oasis of calm. Gets roofed on rugby days, mind!  |

I used to love the Angel pub and Goblets cellar bar but haven’t been to either in donkey’s years.
Used to visit one of the bar staff at the Angel for late night naughtiness.
In Cambridge the Empress is a good local pub. Around the villages there are so many great little pubs it’s hard to single one out. |

Ye Hole in Ye Wall in Liverpool is a proper old fella's pub, down an alleyway, bit grimy. The barstaff really know their gins though, and will have a great chat about what you like and don't like in order to recommend something they think you'll get along with. |

My favorite burnt down a few years back  it's where I grew up drinking and learning to play pool. Second favorite would be one in Richmond but that's because I know everyone that drinks in there. Bar staff were always fantastic. Spent many d*unken nights in there.

I used to like one that was in my village they did the most epic cocktails and it had a young feel for a village pub.
Otherwise I prefer pubs with log fires and good wine or dare I say it gastro pubs |
