There and to the left a bit

Or perhaps the men that understand and respect that other people manage their profile how they want, will appreciate that they have been contacted, take their time getting to know the people concerned and see how things go from there

Or..... despite being clear about our likes and dislikes - we all have them, it's not arrogance - we get fed up with guys (and occasionally couples and single ladies) who are either;

a) Too selfish to be interested in anything other than getting a shag so don't take the time to read our profile to see what we may or may not like and send the kind of opening message we explicitly ask not to recieve.

b)Have read our profile but are so arrogant they decide it doesn't apply to them and send the kind of opening message we explicitly ask not to recieve.

c)Have made an attempt to read our profile but couldn't be bothered to spend 30 seconds paying attention to what someone else wants so miss bits and send the kind of opening message we explicitly ask not to recieve.

When you get this behaviour on a daily basis it becomes easier to think we would prefer to find single men ourselves.

I don't understand how it's any more arrogant to state this particular preference than say an age limit or any other preference. Just because YOU fancy someone it doesn't mean that they have to want you and that they're arrogant for not doing so.

There is also the fact that while a lot of single guys use this site to fulfill their sexual needs, for couples it is a way of having a bit of fun as and when suits them. That doesn't necessarily mean right here and now- it may mean that they're not looking for a single man for many months or longer so it's easier for them to initiate a search when it's right for them. Getting pissed off that someone isn't available as and when you want them to be is a big part of the reason that couples post this kind of comment.

I see no problem with this? People don’t want to be approached by the hoards of single men on here.

It’s a sausage fest. Fair enough.

Must be pretty annoying for women and couples.

"OP, I would say that for many women and couples, searching themselves is the sensible option.

Nail. Head.

We used to meet mainly single guys. We'd put up a post and be very specific about who we were looking to meet. Cue dozens of messages who'd ignored all the details, thought that we'd change our minds just for them and that regardless of the fact they were the opposite of what we wanted that they were entitled to meet us to prove the error of our ways.

Fuck that.

So we blocked incoming messages and started approaching guys ourselves. Many said no thanks or ignored our messages - which was perfectly fine. But we had much more success being proactive than reactive.

It's honestly not fucking rocket science whether you're a couple or a single - do the legwork yourself and concentrate on what you are looking for rather than what you're not. And when you get a 'no thanks' or no reply - don't sulk and say 'it's not fair'.

It certainly makes managing messages far easier.

It’s not the click of a finger though is it? It’s just a rule that you need to make yourself known by some other means eg chatting on the forums.

If they like you then they’ll approach you.

Otherwise you’ll get men trying the 10% rule and just trying it on with everyone in sight.

Yet arrogant (see? I spelled it right, can I have gold star? ) men believe women would come running to them at the click of a finger? Or wonderfully intelligent 'wanna fuck?' message? Don't like the tables being turned around, OP, do you?

We are looking for a single guy at the moment for something very specific and still having problems. Everything is in our profile and explained in the first message. Some have been rude and arrogant. Some have only addressed me and completely ignored Twisted. Some start to message, sound interested then just disappear.

You guys aren’t blocking men and picking yourself though. That’s what the OP had an issue with, I believe.
