How good are you with horrors?

I've found as I've gotten older, I've had less stomach for really heavy horror.
Watched Bone Tomahawk a couple of years ago and one scene scarred me for a few weeks. Amazing that a film can have that effect but really didn't want to rewatch it too soon.
General monster stuff I'm totally fine with though |

I love horrors. I like watching horror games rather than playing them.. Cos I'm a wimp like that. XD.
I love horror films.. But I need to watch them with someone... they get in to my head.. lol.
Besides.. What's better than snuggling up to someone when watching a horror film ??? |

Horror junkie me. Closed curtains, lights off and bring the fear. The more disquieting the better. I love going to bed after a horror petrified

I think it's the sense of dread or despair that some film makers can create rather than the antagonist.
Bone Tomahawk is just unswervingly miserable at times. I guess films like Dead Man's Shoes evoke the same feeling without being as visually disturbing. |

I don't like horror movies, especially slasher like Scream. Its not because they scare me but because the things they depict are not things I want to see. I don't get the appeal of watching a graphic representation of a knife being plunged into somebody's chest while they die in terror. The non-gory ones just don't do anything for me either. Luke |

I like a good horror flick. The don't scare me but there have been a couple that have creeped me out.
Mothman Prophecies - the way this is shot with camera effects and some sequences with sound design. It still gets me un-nerved.
Hereditary - wasn't expecting alot and wow, this is a modern classic! |

I'm good with horror, it's one of my favourite genres and I've been watching them since I was quite young so I guess I'm used to it.

Not been scared by a horror in far too long but if you give me something that's so close to becoming an actual reality, that gets me worried.
Have a good watch of one of the episodes of Black Mirror called Metalhead.
The reality of that is as close as a few months away if not possible already...that's scary! |

Horror movies are big part of my personal culture. Been watching them since I was a child and have a hard drive full of horror flicks. Enjoy a good horror book/comic too. The only movie that has ever scared the shit out of me was Arachnaphobia. Still cant sit through that one. |

Was never phased by them really up until recently.
I can still watch them but what gets me is that someone has thought of those things. That's the bit I find most disturbing. Since coming out the other side of a toxic relationship with my ex it makes you realise that there are people who don't just think things, they do them too.

I used to love watching horrors and would happily sit and watch them in the dark on my own but as I’ve got older I’ve turned into a big baby and will usually cover my face with a cushion and ask hubby what is happening haha I think though it could be that the special effects in horrors now are so realistic.
Has anyone ever been in pasaje del terror? I went in when I was 13 with my older brother and thought it was great although the actors stayed in their places and didn’t touch you.. went in again a few years back and omg I hated it.. I froze in the corner of the room with the exorcist and she jumped off the bed and chased me.. I spent the rest of the time in there with my head literally up the jumper of the guy in front of me so I didn’t see anything!! Never again!! |

I do really enjoy both his books and most of the film adaptations.
Hostel 1 and 2 were good and so was the saw franchise, had a good over arching story that tied them together really well.
I mostly love 8os horror, love the evil dead franchise |

I also suck with gaming and games that aren't even that scary  like Skyrim, the silence in Fallout creeps me out and currently the Witcher 3 is too much at times. I make slow progress as I need my partner in the room with me  |

I even get scared watching programs like most haunted..
I think it's because I don't like the dark at all. Its always like blackpool illuminations in my flat, the lights are always on even if I'm not in that room and always sleep with the stairs light on and the bedroom door open. |

I wasn't a avid horror film watcher but Ive seen a few that I enjoyed. However recently I saw a Netflix documentary called 'Don't fuck with cats' which was disturbing but I did enjoy it. Then I did an extremely stupid thing of searching and finding the actual snuff movie that was depicted in the documentary. This was 3 weeks ago and I still can't get the horror and images out of my head. I doubt I will watch any kind of horror again. |

I think I've become immune to them though, as I tend to laugh at gore etc.
The one or 2 that have disturbed me in recent years have been the more psychological ones, that are much more implied than explicit.
I thought paranormal activity was disturbing in that way, whereas the human centipede I found comical.
-There's an old black and white film called "carnival of souls", that I think is a favourite. Really captivating & creepy. |

C loves horrors but finds most of the new horror stuff boring. Hes not a fan of jump scares.
I on the other hand cant watch horrors at all. I have paranoia and horror films and anything psychological based can make it worse. I also get dreadful nightmares if I watch them |

I love old horror films like the Exorcist and Salems lott. Poltergeist too. Todays films just dont do it for me.
I grew up watching them alone when I was young but now if I watch them the bathroom light stays on all night lol |
