I agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion but it doesn't make it the truth. That's where I think we need to be careful. A lot of people pride themselves on telling the truth when in fact they're just giving their opinion and in some cases it would be better left unexpressed. |

I understand where your coming from.
For me, my opinion, is my honest opinion so is my truth of how I see a situation. I am not one to offer my opinion on where it hasn’t been asked, that is where I think things should be left unsaid.
People that know me, know if they ask me something or my opinion on a situation I don’t / won’t mince my words (or fluff it up) and that’s appreciated as can be quite blunt |

The truth. I'm very straightforward and don't tend to mince my words, and would much rather people treat me in the same way. As others have said though, there are ways and means of doing this without being nasty. |

Yes, if someone asks me for my opinion I usually give it honestly even if it will be unpopular eg relationship advice. If someone asks me my opinion on something like a new haircut or item of clothing after they've had it done or when we're out and they're already wearing it I will lie through my teeth if necessary. |

If someone asks me my opinion on something like a new haircut or item of clothing after they've had it done or when we're out and they're already wearing it I will lie through my teeth if necessary."
I’ve tried the latter but my mates know I don’t have a very good poker face
 so mouth says one thing the face says the truth

I'd prefer people were truthful with me, even if they thought it might hurt, rather than gloss over or avoid telling me something.
Appreciate there's a difference when it comes to something that is a matter of opinion, but would rather hear someone's truthful opinion than what they think is the right thing to say. |

The truth always comes out in the end. That's karma. Truth is subjective in any case. There's my truth, your truth and the truth. Honesty is always the best policy though. |
