Lemon juice as a temporary measure.

Get a collar asap though because lemon is a bit cruel.

In a Sparkly Dress

Childs rubber ring round the neck works as a collar if it's a larger breed

I'd go with bitter too but I would imagine the lemon would sting the wound though.

Put socks over.

Or vicks

Or just keep saying no.

As long as the bandage is ok don't worry too much.

Make a collar? Anything like card or a cereal box cut into a funnel shape.

Hes paralysed and hes ripped a dew claw clean off... cant feel it obviously but wouldn't stop nibbling the bandage...

Poor puppa. I bought my dog an inflatable collar after his operation, the cone of shame was massive and he looked like he was picking up SETI signals.

Inflatable collar was much easier for him to manouvre, 56 kg of German Shepherd in a standard collar is destructive and none practical

Or Tea Tree oil if you have any. Tastes foul and if it seeps through to the wound it can only do good. Collar of shame is best though

My Yorkie had an inflatable collar in Oz a few years ago and she actually loved it. She sounded like a flat tyre running around the house and used it like a pillow.

Sadly no longer with me since last week

Probably not best to use anything on the bandage itself like a bitter spray etc because the bandage is supposed to stay dry. What about a sock and some tape?

Is his injury bad?
