Eastleigh

Good value in my eyes, not quite the same, but it's costing £7Bn for 2 aircraft carriers, so 4 RFA ships for a fraction of the cost - bargain.

If British companies didn't view govt contracts as a licence to print money and bid for them with competitive prices we wouldn't see our ships being built abroad. They've nobody to blame but themselves and that's why the Clyde, Tynemouth and other ports that were once famous for shipbuilding are now derelict graveyards.

"Greatest team ? thats why their in the europa league and out of both domestic cup competitions second in the league "

19 titles

11 FA Cups

3 European/CL Cups

Liverpool are a very close second to United in terms of achievements, and everyone else is way way behind those two.

Bitish shipyards are finished because there was no investment from the huge profits earlier.

I have first hand experience as I served my time in one and in the 70s there was still steam driven machinery manufactured in the 1800s all this while the japanese koreans etc were investing in modern equipment.

thats very true wishy, but other factors must be taken into consideration.

political, showing an affinity with s korea.reaffirming s korea as an ally.

.

wages,no competition,if the wages were equal.we would have to work 100 hours a week,to live on a park bench.

.

quality, for 450 million, you get 4 pound shop ships.which surprisingly is'nt a bad thing, technology is advancing at such a rapid rate,by the time they are finished, they'll be old technology.

within 10 years they'll be ready for the scrap yard.

.

health and safety, another achilles heel, they'll be swinging by the ankles on a bit of rope,200 feet up,painting the hull,a tin of paint in one hand,a brush in the other.

to do the same job,a british worker would need,a risk assessment, signed by god.

enough scaffolding,to reach heaven, and three guys just watching, incase they missed something in the risk assessment.

.

it's sad to say,but it's going to take british industry,a long long time,to compete again, maybe never.

i totally agree.

all governments waste tax pounds paying over the top prices for so called "tenders" that are never cost effective.

they could build those 2 carries at less than half the price if those at the top didn't cream off the profits.

then they could make 4 carriers and create even more jobs and security for the workers.

it's a corrupt system that really doesn't make any sense
