In the war between me and Morrisons self serve check outs I only had 4 items it told me after each item to wait for assistance 
It would have been quicker to wait for a nice person at a till |

self service is great when real money is short and your buying using the penny jar.. i brought a loaf of bread and some milk and put all my pennies in lol took about 20 mins,, but you try and pay at a maned till with pennies. lol  |

I do like them, they're generally quicker than queueing up to a real person, and I'm usually only picking up a few things and they're pretty straight forward once you get used to them.
However, recently, when the 11 items till is being manned, people are still queueing up for the self-serve?! So I just go through there and get served straight away. |

There was a programme on the TV a while back, they were looking at those self serve tills and did time comparisons - in every case it was quicker to go through the staffed checkout
Apparently they save the Supermarkets millions already in wages and they want to phase them in completely.  |
