Feeling really swamped today, keep crying like a right feck'n loony 
I've been trying so hard to get the house fixed up to sell it, it's been a real struggle cos I'm so bleed'n skint - which is why I'm selling up
Got a decorator in 3 weeks ago, he seemed ok, started the jobs then left early saying he'd be back mid week, all I've gotten from him since are what could be genuine reasons not to be here, but unless I contact him - I hear nuttin, anyhoo finaly pinned him down to this morning and he just hasn't shown up, again I know it 'might' be the weather - but he hasn't even contacted me to explain.
I saved up for a new door last year, and just before Christmas the police had to knock it down to get let the ambulance guys in for me... I managed to get the kitchen done the year before on the cheap, and this morning the water is pouring down the walls from the bathroom, the coving is fucked
me BV is back... I'm waiting for a date for back surgery... this last 2 years has been a right pain in the arse.
I just feel that everytime something goes right, something shits all over it....
I can usually just 'keep calm and carry on' but seriously can't stop crying today

Can understand your situation and sometimes having a damn good cry gets some of the stress out of your system.

Just be thankful I don't live nearer to you, as I'd be round like a shot with my decorating gear on to start painting .... although I'm very good at demolishing things! |

Sorry for all the snot on yer shoulders from the hugging  eeeeeh some days just getcha don't they?
I'm having a strong coffee and will put some make up on to hide the blotchy snot-face  a good friend has just texted to say they are on their way over with some 'feel good' films.

That happened to me (female) a few years ago, I paid up front for my new bathroom, he finished the job but it turned out to be a disaster, looked good. Just have to put it down to experience I'm afraid, unfortunately an expensive one. Wish you lived nearer me I have a great decorator I have used for years & very reasonably priced.

Thanks for the motivational ditty I've already started a 'breakdown' list (no not a mental breakdown lol! ) of how to tackle stuff and in what order... sorting out the shower leak seems the best place to start xx

Yeppers, my Ex had 'tenacious' as his middle name, in 12 years we never had to hire anyone to do jobs .... wish I'd paid more attention to his 'many skills' It has been a real eye opener dealing with the so called proffessionals at times on me own... but strengthening tto most days

Not easy being on your own, especially when you have to rely on workmen who only do half a job.
I've got a lot of house and garden maintenance skills, but unfortunately I'm not physically fit for these jobs any more, so I get angry when I am being ripped off. Money is scarce and not easily come by to throw away on the cowboys.

Hiya
Feeling much better this evening thanks, have bought new sealant for round the shower/bath and tiles, so will be sorting out the water problem this weekend I hope. Am feeing much more focused now I've broken it all down in my head
A friend came over last night with a selection of horror films and a selection of cakes lol! he also played with my hair whilst watching the films cos he knows how relaxing I find that... he's such a sweety
So, not so loony today and y'know, the cyber hugs really did help, all of your friendly words were exactly what I needed..

Now that's a really good friend for bringing cakes, films and stress busting head massage! Now if you can get them to help with a few odd jobs around the place you'll gradually see light at the end of the tunnel...
Hope it's not too long before your back is sorted, house is sold & 2012 starts to be on the up for you!
