I can only think the current threads are extremely dull , or there must be nothing on the telly as the forum is filling up with threads from the past !
My guess is the current up to date threads are a bit dull , but what makes someone want to delve back over a year to resurrect a thread ?

My favourite zombie thread are ones where people add their names to a meet thread years after the meet took place.
It happens a lot with Gran Canaria and Cap DAge. You get a thread from 2015 arranging to meet and someone in 2019 adds a "see you there" post. |

The Status Shuffles originally were special events. Usually Friday or Saturday night, so all of us who were at home rather than out shagging would join in. Femme used to advertise that she was going to do one earlier in the day to create awareness and anticipation and gauge interest, then that night at 8:00pm the chaos would start.
It would run to multiple threads because it was so popular. The best ones had a separate results thread for everyone to post their statuses on. It was really participative, hilarious, very close to the edge, and facilitated by Femme with her usual wit and panache.
Like all good things it lost some of it’s spark as things evolved. There was a stage when there was a shuffle every few days and it kind of killed the unexpected, surprise element that really engaged people. I think you probably experienced the fallout of all that. |

Agree on the funny ones. There’s been some right belters over the years.
Agree on the UNLOS too. Fond memories of folk who moved on or are under a new profile.

This started two days ago, does that count as an old thread??
It’s actual quite easy to do as I found out Oct last year. Holidaying in Malta I searched for ‘Malta November’ and found s thread by a couple who were staying in the same resort. I posted and sent them a pm, not looking at the date of the op, which was 12 months earlier. Doh |

"I can only think the current threads are extremely dull , or there must be nothing on the telly as the forum is filling up with threads from the past !
My guess is the current up to date threads are a bit dull , but what makes someone want to delve back over a year to resurrect a thread ?

A decade ago the forums seemed a lot less 'bitey' at times and there were definitely some comedy geniuses lurking in the shadows.......
