With 1 being you avoid work at all costs and are bone idle

10 you're exhausted at the end of the day/week
what do you score yourself "
I was tired after work and decided to nap for 20 minutes, I naped for 3 hours... |

Also in my line of work everyone works a 10 or more. |

8 or 9.
It was always a solid 10 but current disillusionment with my career is having a negative effect. No one outside looking in would be able to tell, though. |

Off the scale. 68 days of 14 hr shifts (minimum) no breaks. Longest time off work was 18 hours but that was swapping from days to nights. Shortest time was 5 hours swapping from nights to days.
Mentally, physically and emotionally draining. Another 10 days to go..  |

A solid 8. I swore blind I'd never work myself ill again.
People think my job is easy, it can be mentally exhausting when you're losing the will to live due to peeps being led to believe "the customer is always right" 
Physically tiring too, I regularly surpass the 20,000 steps mark when at work. |

95% of the time 9/10 im there to work its what im paid for, often working 6/7 days a week when required.
5% of the time as little as i can get away with, but its rare - usually only if im not feeling well.
I cant stand being stood there doing nothing if there are no customers so i find something that needs doing usually cleaning. Irtitates me that everyone else is happy to stand around doing nothing unless asked to do something |

I don’t know how you do it. It’s bad enough dealing with self entitled morons over the phone from the comfort of my office - in person, with a smile on your face and knifes and forks in your hand must be such a test of patience! |

10, it's always full on pace where i work, then I also have to start again when I get home with my own business.

7 at the moment. With the heat and the drying weather i'm struggling to keep on top of everything.
Despite this i refuse to give myself a 10. There are alot more people out there working a damned sight harder in far more important professions. |

It's really fucking hard at times, unrealistic customer expectations and a lack of common sense from people who have no clue or care.
I'll never ever forget having a knife to my throat from the table who found pubes in their sweetcorn (they'd put them there themselves as a ruse to get out of paying their £90 bill) when I challenged them about their plan and said I was calling the police. |

When I read your post I thought my work is nowhere near that stressful, and I am lucky as I actually enjoy the work.
I cannot imagine how hard your work must be - and as it is your parent, that makes it even harder I would think?

When I read your post I thought my work is nowhere near that stressful, and I am lucky as I actually enjoy the work.

It’s really hard
And seeing them deteriorate in front of you is even harder
Don’t get me wrong I love my mum to death and it is rewarding but at the same time it’s frustrating
I would say I’m more mentally drained at the end of the day rather than physically drained |

I'll say an honest 9 , its 12 hours a day 6 days a week and then I also take on a bit extra on the side which I do on a Sunday, I like what I do though so I'm never unhappy and enjoy the extra money I can earn . |

I work on big movies (like Marvel stuff).
It depends actually, sometimes I have nothing to do, and sometimes for several months, I do extra hours everyday and i come to work the Weekend. I already went to work a Sunday from 9am to 11pm. |

9-10 most days... I work in the nhs. It's mentally exhausting as much as physically. I'm also studying full time at university...I never have any 'me' or 'family' time. I'm not even sure how I manage to squeeze in swinging if I'm honest...  |

My work is feast or famine. I never miss deadlines and my inherent laziness means I do everything possible to get it right first time. I will work through the evening to meet deadlines or to carve out a free day. I'm a 7 after decades of 10.

On that scale I am both a 1 and a 10.
I.e. I do the absolute bare minimum I can get away with(if that) yet I am exhausted waaaay before the end of the week.
It's fortunate that they pay me so well otherwise Id walk out. |
