As this is a public forum and you don’t need to be a member of Fab to see it. Do you think some people share too much information?

I’m surprised by what is shared by some.

No, I don't think so. I see it like facebook everyone can see that but girls and guys still post nudes and porn vids.

This is completely public and you can’t hide what you post so yes some people do share too much

I personally don’t share anything that I wouldn’t share with my vanilla friends/family

Yes, some people do.

They mention the fact that they have young family in their profile, they say what their jobs are, some say where they work, they give their name, they advertise when their birthday is etc.

One woman years ago started a thread about her daughter being in a local paper and mentioned the paper

Most definitely, it amazes me how many people seem to think there is some kind of invisible shield between their lives online and offline.

So what if they do

Some folk are discreet, some let it all hang out. It's their profile so who is anyone to judge?

In my opinion, yes, I would never go into every intimate detail of my life, but I am quite a private person and it's up to everyone how much they are comfortable to share.

If discretion and risk of being outed aren't an issue, fine. Post what you want.

But if it IS important to keep this part of your life secret you'd be mad to post too many clues that people can use to eventually identify you.

Yes but it's each their own. It's a public forum to be used publicly by the public

people only share what their feel comfortable sharing.... no one is point a gun to their head and making them type stuff they don't want it....

every post one way or another is sharing something, whether you like that or not.......

I don't even share my real name or age...

I'm sometimes amazed by the vulnerabilities that some display. But it's up to them. *shrugs*

we're quite open with family friends and our kids. There's not much we don't share. that means we're not open gossip.

Face pictures on our profile as well. it's very liberating

Each to their own but there aren't many who know too much about the "real" me.

In my opinion you should only be able to read the forums after you have signed up to the site, And yes some people do share to much of their life but that's up to them on how much info they give out
