Go on call me unromantic, but isn't Valentines Day, just another overpriced con?

We have birthdays, anniversaries and other celebrations throughout the year, it's just another day to spend over the odds on things isn't it???

Yes it's just a rip off.

However I'd be unlikely to be saying this if I was being romanced. Or even got a card.

Always ways round it, go out day before it , or just plan a nice night and exchange cards etc. Agree though that prices rocket on the day x

Yeah shouldn't really need to have a specific day to spoil your other half and a surprise gift or meal etc on random days are much more appreciated
