"No bad pressies but can guarentee when I visit my parents later I will have some gift wrapped tea towels and dusters. Every year...."
Dunno about dusters but tea towels are always useful (though not necessarily as Xmas presents  )
I loved all of my gifts... Those who buy for me clearly know me well  |

No gifts for me this year...is there such a thing as a bad gift? Someone who care about about you went out of their way to get you something to make you smile...I'd say that was enough to make any gift good  |

I KNOW you don't give to receive. I KNOW there's nothing I want I can't buy myself. I KNOW I told my loved ones NOT to waste money on presents but yesterday, not receiving any pissed me right off.
Poor Ben got it in the neck. I know I was being 100% unreasonable...no excuses...but I'm still pissed off: since when did my loved ones ever do what I say?!!

Not this year, but a few years ago I received a spaghetti jar with a packet of Tesco dried spaghetti.
I have a small present as yet unwrapped; a gift from a friend for providing some information on things to do whilst travelling in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Hiroshima.

Wow, your loved ones gave you the gift of obedience and took care to listen to your requests. You are so lucky
I got some gifts that I didn't want, not my sort of thing... e.g. a decanter which I will have to find storage for until I can get it to a charity shop. What's worse is it was from my son who really needs the money at the moment, so shouldn't have spent it on me, and certainly not on something I don't want and will get rid of.
They need to learn the gift I want is time, a visit here and there, a phone call etc. I don't want them buying me stuff at all, but if they must then buy stuff I can keep, not stuff to give to the charity shop. |

Wish people would just not send anything rather than the churned out budget showers gel etc.
All they are good for is washing the decking with and lining the pockets of those who make them.
We would rather give something useful but it doesn’t have to cost loads.
