Used to love him years ago, back in the 70's, then he kinda lost it for years.

On Impulse we went to see him on his comeback tour 6 or 7 years back and he had us absolutely falling over with laughter, hadn't laughed so much in years.

When I was a young girl living at home with my parents I'd watch comedy with my dad. I loved Dave Allen, Kenneth Williams, the Two Ronnies. My mum and I liked Dick Emery.

In my teens my faves were Kenny Everitt, Ben Elton, Not the Nine O'Clock news lot and the Mary Whitehouse Experience lot and Jasper Carrott.

I rather like Peter Kay, I like the humour in everyday life and I like the fact he doesn't have to resort to filth in order to get a laugh. I don't mind rude humour but some people only use it to play to a certain kind of audience.

I like Dara O'Briain, Alan Carr, Jimmy Carr, Sean Locke, Sarah Millican, Peter Kay, Russell Howard, I don't usually like one liner humour but Tim Vine does make me laugh.

I detest comedians like Frankie Boyle, Roy Chubby Brown (tho in the 80s when it was shocking it worked but not now), Bernard Manning and Jim Davidson. I met Jim Davidson in a pub in Blackpool once. He was surrounded by women and was entertaining them with shit sexist jokes. I overheard him say to the barmaid 'can I have a pint of lager and your tits please', that was about the level of it - so an utter dick in real life too

Having seen several comedians live in the last 12 months, including Lee Mack, John Bishop, Sean Locke, Alan Carr, and Jethro....

The best by a mile has been Jethro, had almost the entire audience in stitches all the way through his 90 minute set...

Lee Mack came a close second, Sean Locke was very good, Alan Carr was funny for the first half of his set but became repetative by the second half, and John Bishop was very poor and found it very difficult to win over the audience.
