I stopped shaving this year and now just trim and have had no complaints yet. Am even getting asked to stop trimming. A lot of guys like hair so you are not alone.  |

I read medical books. It says hair is there to stop germs from getting inside you. Like wax is in your ears to stop germs getting in your ear. I read also that chinese peeps like hairy fanny cos its a sign of fertility. Its suposed to become sparce as you get older. When i worked in old folks home all the women seemed to have bald fannys. |

Well obviously everything on our bodies is there for a reason. Over the years, evolution and all that jazz, we have lost thick body hair and are less ape like (some people have gone through the evolution process more than others).
We do however have hair on our bodies and this grows slightly thicker in the armpit, pubic area.
Pubic hair does prevent bacteria entering the body via our vaginal opening. Therefore if we have no hair then in effect its easier for bacteria to enter. So maybe us hairless lot end up with more urinary tract infections, who knows. (Makes you think twice about sitting on a couch in a swinging club with no undies on). |

Seeing as I was the one to type "bullshit" I thought I would search the 'Net to see what I could find. There is no definitive answer that I could find, but the “To stop germs” argument although there, is really a misnomer. It may have had some basis in truth when mankind roamed the earth and lived in caves. They were there to keep the area warm and perhaps even to give some protection, but clothes do that job now.
For a start pubic hair is actually a breeding ground for bacteria! It is warm, moist (love that word!) and an ideal breeding ground. Then of course you have the “but I bathe/shower everyday” argument. That is good and I would think that everyone does shaved, trimmed or bushy! Problem is that bacteria grow rapidly. Anyone who has done any food hygiene courses will know that something as simple as a bowl of rice can become infested with bacteria in a few hours. All that is needed is warmth, moisture and a food source, all three are available in male and female genital areas.
We even have a supply of bacteria within a couple of inches of our naughty bits and it is encased in the same item of clothing! No matter how clean we think we are, once you have been to the toilet you would have all you need for cross infection of anal/genital areas. At least with shaved or trimmed, there is a chance of being able to keep cleaner. We are both shaved and both use anti-bact toilet wipes, made a whole lot easier without having to make sure every hair is clean!
Back to the ‘Net and what I did find was many, many references to “pheromones”. That pubic hair was not only for protection in primitive man/woman, but was also to trap pheromones that would entice others so that breeding would take place. Again, we no longer really need that as we all seem to be more in tune with visual and then physical stimuli.
I am not and never have said that pubic hair is wrong, just that I do not find it at all attractive! There seems to be more call for it than there has been in the last few years, but that seems to be more as a fetish than mainstream. Although I am sure there are a few that will say they like it, just to broaden their chances of a shag!

Its sex. Sex when you analyse it is an animal instict driven by lust and everyone knows that its not a sanitised act. It should be cleaned at the start of meeting someone, of course, but to be cleaning it after every visit to the toilet during a long sexy session, does this really happen? I dont go back to what I was doing with a biff dripping with wee on any occassion throughout the day, having sex or not. Thats what tissue and good toilet hygiene is for.
I have wet wipes in my bathroom and wipe away lube and 'juices' as the session continues, as I dont liek being sticky, but the only time I would wash during a sex session, would be a quick dip under the bath handspray in the morning after the night before and brush teeth before getting down to it again, and partners I have had an overnighter with do the same. |

Pubic hair is also there to protect the pubis bone during sex so if theres enthusiastic banging you don't get bruised. Same as eyebrows protect the upper eye socket. |

I don't like the inference that people who have pubic hair are somehow unclean - that is absolutely not the case.
I'm shaven and have been for quite a few years. This is mainly because I spent more time trimming my hair into a perfect triangle shape it was like topiary and just easier to get rid of the lot. As I'm blonde it somehow didn't ever seem to be a lot and nev er grows on my section scar which is quite low.
I don't understand when people say that shaven looks pre pubescent, as a there 40 year old womans shaven vagina looks different to 10 year old girls |

Its not more hygienic if you bathe regularly and don,t sweat lots. Pubic hair absorbs sweat and so stops bacteria multiplying in it once it has collected in your vagina or surrounding skin. So if you bathe less you may be slightly more hygienic with pubes than not. However if you regularly clean yourself there should be no difference. Im hanging on to mine.. strangely I cannot remember what other girls did back in the 60's when i was at school. I can remember my best friend giving me a razor for my 12th birthday to shave my legs we never mentioned pubes ever. |
