Dating site for beautiful users hacked

A dating site that asks it's users to vote on the ugliness of new member applicants to determine whether they should be allowed to join or not has been hacked.
The 'Shrek' virus allowed tens of thousands of new users to bypass the voting system and join the site proper.
Greg Hodge, the site's managing director, said: "We got suspicious when tens of thousands of new members were accepted, many of whom were no oil painting.
We responded immediately, repairing the damage from the Shrek virus and putting every new member [to the vote]. We have sincere regret for the unfortunate people who were wrongly admitted to the site and who believed, albeit for a short while, that they were beautiful," he added.

I'm amused at the guy's front but can't help thinking that he's a completely self absorbed asshole of the highest degree.

The site in question has been known for self promotion gimmicks like this before. After Christmas it emailed it's entire membership and told them they had to reapply in case they had let themselves go over the festive period. |

im glad the site was hacked, but as said earlier - its all publicity ..

You have to look at it from the other side! There we were all chatting away (all us beautiful people)and fuck me all these mingers started messaging us. It was a right bastard and put me off my prawn sandwiches and champers. I had to leave but if they have sorted it out and got the mooters off i may go back |
