Are you a cinema person?

I rarely go to watch films at the cinema…. even the ones I really, really, really want to see.
I much prefer my home comforts, an array of nibbles, nachos (with melted cheese) and getting a few mates around.
One thing I am looking forward to in the summer (if we have one) is using my work projector outside…. a bar-b, a few bevvies and a classic action film on the wall.
Are you a movie night at home type or do films seem better at the cinema to you?

I love the cinema but never go often enough,by the time I decide to go the films out on dvd!
I have to sit in a certain seat when I do go so get there early,if I don't get the seat I want which has some rails in front of it I can put my feet up on im really pissed off |

Did that with the Kings Speech, really wanted to see it, bought the Blu Ray, still not watched it lol
Went to see Pirates of the Carribean on Wednesday, first 3d experience, and really enjoyed it |

I like going to the cinema but if we go its cost a fortune for an adult and 3 kids.
We all take a small bag with our own drink and nibbles in. No way am I paying cinema prices. I make my own popcorn.
I can buy a bag of popping corns for 65p which will make far more too! |

I do that too lol nip in to morrisons and pick up there popcorn on offer lol. |

It depends on the cinema, what's on and who is going. If its a big screen classic then it has to be the flicks but i will wait half the time for something to come out on dvd. |

Having worked for a well known multiplex cinema, the staff were advised that if they see anyone with their own food or drink, they were to be refused entry into the screens until said items were disposed of.
The cinemas don't make that much money from the films, as they 'rent' the film from the distributors for the period it is in the cinema. They therefore supplement their income by selling food and drinks.
I usually wait until a film comes out on DVD, as then I can have a nice relaxing evening with everything to hand. However the kids like to go every now and again, so they know that I will buy the tickets but nothing else. If they want popcorn, they can pay for it themselves. |

there food is the worst i have tasted especially at showcase.
i thought McDonald's was worst but the show case omg |

i love going to the cinema and we go fairly often, we only go to certain large cinemas though which have comfy seats and we always take our own sweets but buy a drink of there  perfect |

We used to go a fair bit, but the costs are high now for a numb bum, noise and distractions from your fellow guests, folks texting and eating noisy things that make a profit for the cinema
We made the decision a while ago to wait a couple of months and buy the DVD for less than it costs to see it at the movies. The if its a crap film you can flog it on tbay |

Cinema, cinema, cinema!
We practically live there! We have passes which lets us see as much as we want for a fixed monthly fee (which costs less than seeing two films a month!).
Could mention the whole Carl Jung dream space thing - but really we just love it more for the experience. |
