Thinking about back in the day after chatting to a mate and we think the kids miss out now due to computer games etc.

We had rope swings, went scrumping, rode old motorbikes, went the outdoor baths and played out all day and went home when we were hungry, were they the good old days ?

They were the days; Snaps were still only 6p, sweets came in jars, there was white dog poo and you could go scrumping for apples that tasted like battery acid in the summer.

Making bows and arrows and crawling through the corn fields, playing 'pick up stick' from the broken old roundabout in the park that was set into solid concrete, water fights with old fairy liquid bottles...

days before mobile phones we had to 'call' round to our friends houses to see if they were coming out.

building 'bases' out of anything we could find, bramble picking, roller blading bike rides, swimming in the lake,

Imaging sending your children out these days with a bottle of tap water and a pack of sugar and butter sandwiches to go play 'over the fields' for the afternoon? Childline would be jammed.....

Oh i remember the good old days.

Sticking me brother on an ants nest and watching him run with his pants full

Dangling over a rail way bridge and only letting him up when he squealed

Walking for miles to go and tater pick and being ripped off by the farmer.

Romping in the haystacks with the local lads

Go carts were brilliant, we did have some injuries from crashing them though

I helped a couple of kids make one in the street not long ago but they said I was to fat to have a go in it

I was just at my friends house an hour ago, she has an old divan bed out in her back garden waiting for rubbish collection.......I said to her that used to be a 'cooncil' trampoline when I was a kid.

I dared her to come outside and have a bounce on it with me hahahahah! Never had so much fun on a bed with all my clothes on!

in the night garden

Ahhhhhh those were the days.

Convincing your whole class that you were bionic.

Poking Sharon down the street who let you do it for 5 Mojos.

Smashing classmates' coccyx by removing their chair as they sat down.

Standing at the side of the road while your mate stood at the other side, then both miming picking up a rope and pulling it tight as cars veered and crashed into hedges.

And of course 'Shit on a Stick!'

Good times!
