they just announced on the news that alcohol, even in small quantities, increases the chances of various cancers. Now that is a very different message to the one saying a glass of red wine is good for your heart....

My friend's daughter came home one night last week feeling not too well after some night out... and she blame the smell of alcohol I could smell on her on teh fact she had been with friends who had been drinking... She actually believed it herself I think .... |

We can't follow every health advice warning there is out there! We'd all be leading a very dull and boring life. Yes there are some things that are known to icrease the risk of cancer, but at the same time someone who has never smoked or touched a drop of alcohol could end up getting cancer!!!  |

I stopped drinking when I was 29. It just didn't suit me. I hope more people realise you just don't need it to have a good time. It's just a real shame that there's not a lot else you can do to just be sociable with random people. Maybe swinging is the new drinking. :D |

Actually you do have a point.. and joke aside (I do like a glass of wine or bubbly or two) but equally I dont NEED it to enjoy myself and can have a great time without a single drop .. and yes, swinging is so much fun.. it is like a drug anwyay... |

Everything in moderation i reckon ,if you go and get bladdered every night ,you wont be around for as long as if you dont ,also if you dont have the odd tipple the stress will get ya ,so just live you life and dont worry too much |

actually based on 1 unit per half pint... 3 pints a day would be 6 unites per day and 42 units be week...
that safe limit for a guy is 4 units per day max, or 21 units a week...  |
