Nope... my friends are my friends because they're my friends. Whether they swing or whether they don't doesn't matter... your sexual activities shouldn't define you as a person. All of my friends have a pretty liberal outlook on life and whilst some of them don't really get my choices, they still love me. I agree with the part of friends being friends regardless. I just struggle with the vanilla guys coming onto me and you have to play it coy. I love going to swinging socials and have made friends via these. But i beleive i would have become friends with these people if i had met them in vanilla surroundings.
My vanilla friends i have known far longer and love going out with them.

How apt is this thread. Only last week I said that vanilla nights seemed tame, but on receiving a text last night for a girly night out with my best mates on Saturday, Ive realised that Ive neglected my two best friends, when they have always been there for me and I know it will be a good night, whereas theres always the potential for things not being great, you never know if your going to like the playmates etc and Im looking forward to buying a new outfit,a proper one. A few months ago I told some vanilla friends about swinging and now whenever I see them, I'm bombarded with questions about who I've met and what I've been up to lol!! They find it fascinating!

friends are friends regardless, but yes you do have to be carefull in conversation with vanilla friends. It was actualy quite difficult to identify the vanilla ones until i sussed they were the ones who objected to me licking them. |

You have to keep sight of who you really are and long term friends know you well (though not inside out, only swingers know that). I have my friends yes but going out on a girly night out is sooo boring they all seem to have fancy dress themes and one of the girls will always end up crying in the loos much prefer going for a few beers with my boys. Or watching footy in the pub. |

My OH has this very often and it really makes us laugh. I don't find this scene in any way better than the 'vanilla' scene. It is different, both have their positives, but it definitely is not better.
Just depends what mood I'm in and what I'm wanting from my night out.
People are people whatever they're into, sometimes it's too easy to accept a sweeping generalisation about the two scenes and the differences.
Believe me, the most sexually liberated people I have met would NOT class themselves as swingers.
