Its all I see people do on here so I thought I would add a thread on it.
My moan I have just been blocked for telling someone I am British Asian , funny because she had already seen my pics and never mentioned it but when I mentioned myself I was asian , I got an instant block. Just as I thought a long overdue meet was on the cards  .
Just a little confused .
Any thoughts on this from fellow members.

If she'd already seen your photo and knew you were Asian it seems unlikely that would be the reason. You must have said something else to offend her but conveniently latching onto the race aspect!

I am always polite , and would never intentionally offend anyone .
The timing was just so not well timed on her part as it was straight after I mentioned the asian word.

Can I just ask whether your ethnicity had been mentioned in any messages to each other. I know you sent pics but sometimes its not always apparent from a picture. Also if you hadnt ever used your name in communication to each other, if your name is asian sounding of course. Perhaps she just didnt realise until you literally spelt it out. |

I have no way of knowing whether your ethnicity was contributory to her apparent change of heart or not.
All I can suggest is you put on your profile that you're an Asian male, that way it will give people who have other preferences a choice to contact you or not, and it will save you the angst of wondering.
Personally, if someone doesn't want to know me for whatever reason, I would _iew it as a waste of my time worrying about it: save your energies for things you can control. |

Sorry to hear this happened to you and I can understand why it would frustrate.
Her personal choice has to be respected, but she could have been more tactful.

You have NO idea why she blocked you. None what so ever.
You assume it was the word asian that put her off.

That seems more likely to me. Yes I am assuming and supposing. Seems more reasonable to me seeing as she'd already seen pics of you and had been chatting happily to you.
It might do for men to put a cut off line under their chats. If a woman wants to chat for bloody hours on end for weeks ... or months ....chances are she's not about to meet in the next day or two. |

For me the most of putting thing is when someone plays the race card. I couldnt give a toss what race someone is but soon as the race card is mentioned im off.
IF she blocked you because your asian then she obviously as a preference not to meet asian guys. |

I think we have exchanged face pics on the past and I have to say that, unless you sent her a different one or my memory is crap it was fairly obvious you were Asian from your pic therefore I can only assume you were blocked for some other reason.
Whatever that reason was you will never know so best to chalk it up to experience and move on  |

I do not, nor have I ever, fancied anyone who wasn't white.
It just makes me someone who only fancies white people.

I have a "thing" for short, blonde and lippy....... just like hubby. And blondes don't have a tendancy to tan as well as some others (I'm generalising from my own experiences here).

People are confusing skin colour to race: blimey!
My ex-husband is a fine black man and there are many like him but I don't play with black men. I'd never get a meet if I only played with black guys: don't think there'd be many wanting to submit to me and let me use wasabi as lube before gagging, hog tying and rogering them with my strap on!
I don't find Asian or Oriental men sexually attractive: that's a preference. Saying I won't play with them because they're Asian or Oriental is racist: spot the difference? |

You can be as pedantic as you like but there are those, like me, who have a sexual preference.
I only find white men sexually attractive. It's got sod all to do with racism or discrimination.
I have not in the past and I do not now fancy anyone who isn't white sexually.
If that changes........I'll be sure to come on the forums moaning that my preferences have changed or that I'm a bad person for refusing those that I maybe have given a chance to on the basis that I'd obviously been blinkered in the past.
Unfortunately, unlike some, I am unable to shag for the sake of just shagging.
I have to want to rip the other persons clothes off and bonk their brains out by way of pure sexual chemistry.
THAT is preference ....... something that can't be berated because someone else gets on their high horse and decides it's racist to not want to swing with someone.

So really its about the way someone chooses to say things really. I see a lot of profiles saying they will not play with Asian/black/non white etc without going into detail as to why. So they are racist. If they put that they don't play with them because they don't find them sexually attractive they would be fine |

I don’t meet Asians because experience tells me I have yet to fancy an Asian guy. When I reject admission to my bed to an Asian guy, it is the same rejection criteria I apply to White, Mediterranean, Black and Mixed Race… no fancy no fucky.

I do have an english name albeit a nickname but I have been called Simon since my school days , Maybe this confused her too .
Anyways its all done now and it was heat of the moment when I put this on the forum . A mistake unlke some I can admit to being wrong .
Some of the posts on this thread were a little dissapointing .

perhaps not from his avatar no but as mentioned previously i have seen his face pic and it was evident from that that he is asian so if he sent her the same pic as me then yes she would have known he was asian |

I often get emails making geordie jokes and wish I had a quid for every one who finishes their mail with "why aye pet!!" Sometimes some are filled with so much hatred just because of the region I live in. One bloke wrote 'you Geordies think you're great' and that was all he had to say! So it doesnt even have to be about race if you come across an embittered bigot. Gingers seem to be targetted too as do brummie accents.
I don't mind good natured banter and being teased about my roots but I think online it might not come across as funny as when you're messing around offline with people.
I have to agree with everyone else though, if a certain trait is not sexually attractive to a person then thats their choice, as long as they are not insulting when saying no thanks. |

We all know with good editing tools skin tone can appear whatever colour we want it to be. Im not referring to the OP here as I have seen his face pic and I knew he was an asian guy.
I dont know what went on in this case, only those involved do. If we are not sexually attracted to people we cannot meet them just because we dont want to be labelled as racist. |

I agree, I have seen posts on this site about scottish people, welsh people, gingers, all very insulting remarks. People assume that they have to be politically correct in relation to black people, but making insulting remarks about different areas, or about appearence seems to be ok. Well it isnt.
I have received brummie accent comments, ignorant people who see our region and make an assumption. The fact that neither of us originate from Birmingham and do not have that accent seems to fall on deaf ears. I could have been really offended by it though  |
