Sounds like tendonitis."
If its sporadic it could be referred pain. Main cause of referred shoulder pain - especially in the right shoulder - can manifest from gall bladder problems, especially if you get indigestion too. |

This is quite correct - acid reflux can cause a sympathetic spasm in the shoulder - I've been told that it feels like an elctric shock. |

Yeah when I had it it came like a shock but was burning and gnawing. Had gallstones and eventiually one blocked the duct and I had to have gallbladder removed. Its a horrible pain and makes you feel sick as a dog while it lasts. |

It could be tension/stress. If I get stressed I get a searing pain in my left shoulder that sometimes runs up my neck... dunno why stress does that to me but it's happened for as long as I can remember!!
Lucky I don't stress very often cus it bloody hurts
