My daughter is back from uni for a week..."reading week" apparently. I've only just sent her back from Christmas!!!

Before you know it she'll be back for Easter and finishes 3 May...until October!!!

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

I must be of the minority that loves the kids being away from school .. because the little darlings aren`t running around the tractor when I`m trying to have my dinner time break on the school playing fields!

O o O oo

Mr R loves school holidays as it takes him a lot less time to get to work with less traffic.

Theyre everywhere, loitering around the place and screeching around the supermarkets. Ugh.

Quite the opposite to the OP's experience ..

When I take Mrs Red to work it usually takes me 20minutes on account of the little darlings being transported the school gates in Mammy and Daddys 4x4 and the general delays caused by them.

When the little shitheads are off school, the same journey takes me just over 10 minutes

Mind you, I do miss the sport every morning when the High School Kids who think they are invincible, decide to continue walking in front of my van and expect me to stop while they meander over the road at their own goddamned leisurly pace ....

Stop for them ? me ? Pahhh hahhh don't be so friggin' stupid, you should see them scatter, horn blaring, noisy old diesel engine screaming it's balls off - .... oh what fun

Kin town is jammed packed full of the little kindarlings.
