That's the nature of economic forecasting. The media are hanging on his every word in the expectation that, when/if it all goes tits up, they can replay the tape and say "Mr King, on 16/2/2011, you said ............. . Why did you get it so badly wrong?"

would have thought it would be very difficult to give a defnite answer on the ecconomy or it's future just now....not sure i would trust anyone that says 'this is what's going to happen over the next 3 months.....'
