Valentines Day ???

This has nothing to do with any thread on here.
Have I missed something ? I always thought valentines day was between the secret admirer and the one they admire.
It was for someone to let a potential love know that they admired them and wanted them for their 'hearts desire'.
It never was for every fucker under the sun to wish every other fucker under the sun H.V.D like it was some kind of sodding national celebration.
Once 'caught' ... what ever term you want to put on it .... you are then that persons love ....SO sending valentines ceases... Chase over. I mean....... you ARE their valentine. You ARE committed....
Now it seems to be big business with even committed partners being encouraged to spend for the sake of it.
I've been wished Happy Valentines quite a few times this year and a couple of those were by children ! all innocent and well meaning.
I've just had a message from a random bloke from Blackpool with just 'Happy Valentines' on it.
When did it all change ffs?........
Someone invent something else for the already devoted pls.....
What about Happy Fuckatine Week.... Happy Blowbatine Month ...
Gimme a break with the red rose crap.

Wow thats brill, its more than what I have had, not one sodding message or text or anything, not even from my best friend who celebrates everything and she even wishes me happy mothers day. I agree though, it is for the secret admirers, be nice if I had one of them, if any sodding person cared about me on this day - not that im bitter   |

I have never ever recieved a valentines card from someone I did'nt know 
Apart from all the Valentines themes messages ive had over the weekend and this morning.......theres some real smooth guys on here 
I agree it was always about secret admirers which I always thought was rather exciting,it would have been even more so if I had ever received a fecking card!
