"We just wondered if anyone was going to the 24hr Le Mans this year??"
Not this year, but we did have a treat before they built to A28 and bypassed all the good roads!
We stopped in a house just south of Bernay, near a little place called Montreuil-l-Argille. The road we were staying in was just off the D438 and that was the favourite route for the Brits to get to Le Mans.
We sat at the end of the road and believe me, there couldn't have been a Sports car left in the UK. We sat there watching them all drive away from Le Mans and waved the Union Flag... Let me tell you, the noise of the guys and gals blasting their horns and the rumble of the engines (especially the TVR's) was awesome.... |

The last time we took the boat to Caen and have to admit the roads where almost empty and don't think we seen any police until we arrived at Le mans.
We had our car written of there when a tornado ran through the campsite but had some funny looks and laughs as we covered all the damage with comedy plasters with Ouch and stuff all over it lol |

Hi all we shall be off to the 24hrs race at Le Mans Houx campsite Wed 8th June then straight down to Cap D'agde in our motorhome. We shall be staying on the camp site there. We do have a spare double. We would love to meet others at Cap or even Le Mans.
