Iv never liked photos n now ppl want them I hate them.I get myself irate trying to take a picture. Anyway so I'm getting ready n I'm trying to learn . is this how to take a selflie

I'm with you mate, hate taking selfies. Any picture I take I'll take about 20 of the things until there's one I'm slightly happy with.
The advice I ALWAYS get when I send my face pic out is 'FFS smile will you' .. so I guess that's what people want to see |

You look like you may be a good/cheeky looking guy, but that face doesn't show it too well.... try to smile instead of the constipated/straining look...  |

I like a mix, including smiling photos - I think people are perceived as more open and others are more inviting to you.
Get someone else to take some pics - preferably lots - so that you can pick a few of the best out. Not a big fan of selfies and see them as working for a minority.
Have someone who'll let you relax, so it's not an artificial posing session - you'll generally get better results. |
