If you have to ask you obviously have not been in love. Not meaning to be nasty but honestly the two things are totally different. Loved my late husband as well as lusted after him.He was my best friend, I trusted him implicitly. He thought of my happiness before his own and I did the same, we were a strong team.I have never met anyone I admired more.

I think...

Lust is when you want to shag someones brains out and then the feeling has gone when all is done.

Love is when you want/need/feel for the person at all times.

Love is when there is no other smell as relaxing and comforting as the one you love.

And.. no matter what you are doing, he/she as always part of your thoughts.

And.. you miss them when they have been gone for only a few minutes

I think you can still lust after someone you love though.

I will agree so far as lust is when you want to shag someone's brains out.

To me lust is physical, whereas love is mental. If that makes sense.
