American crayfish are very fast breeders, so our diminished UK stocks of our species are up against a much stronger pest, that's also infecting them. Local ones around here are now hard to see, unlike a few years ago. I'd be against culling a native species anywhere, as my first choice. Noxious invasive s are another major problem. | |||
