Try the patches anyway. I'd recommend them once you get used to them as putting on can be fiddly. Then carry on kissing and...the things with no worries

Ive put some zovirax on but may slap some perfume on it too. Morning  x"
Load up on zovirax, once the tingle stops. A combination of perfume to dry out the scabs and Vaseline when your in. The perfume drys it out and the Vaseline hydrates the scabs and they drop off without making it sore xx |

Ooh painful, hope some of the suggestions work.
I've never had them but hubs suffers when he is run down... Perhaps you are coming down with something? Lol note coming down and not going down!! |

I haven't had one since I was about 14 but last time my mum got one she put one of those little medicated stickers on it and found that worked really well
Not nice and they hurt too |

Its under my nose but feels like its creeping on my face...buggers stinging and they just look vile..im going for the balaclava look  |

Sorry to hear about the cold sore, I get them sometimes thanks to my great grandma kissing me when I was a baby. I didn't know what it was until my ex told me
Either way, I just don't let it stress me and it goes when its ready. They're slightly acidic so using soap can alleviate it, but I'm notorious for picking |

If you can get to Boots they do a little bottle of cold sore lotion. Its a clear liquid and only about £2 it is brilliant stuff. I find it works way faster than zovirax.
