whats your plans for xmas eve ?

I have my 2nd load of washing on and have just finished wrapping a few last minute presents.
The drink and food bits that are travellling with us are ready to be packed and the gifts that we're dropping off en route to Mums are boxed and ready to go.
Now I just need to have my hair cut, do the housework, do some ironing and pack our suitcase. |

I'm sure Mrs Santa wears a peep hole bra and crotchless knickers on Xmas Eve and I don't think you'd want to break with tradition now, would you?   |

Cooking my big bird. made the stuffing. prepping the veg laters.
Gotta put a little washing on and get my table laid all nice.
Will finish later and then hot shower, jimjams and a g and t . then bed.

kids will be in bed by 8 pm after having put out the carrots for the reindeer and the mince pies and apparently blackcurrant squash for Santa.then I have to try to quietly bring down all the pressies that are hidden throughout my bedroom. ex will be over by 7 am so that he is here to open gifts with the winks and my mum has asked me to call her when we start, even though it will be about 3am for her so that she can also watch them open pressies via skype |

After two days looks like the turkey has finally defrosted, so preparaing all the herbs, spices and stuffing for it. Will let it marinade til midnight then put it on.
Will prep the vegetables later.
Wines chilling, cheeses breathing, daughter's boyfriend joining us later for Christmas, almost makes up for my daughter spending the Christmas with her boyfriend and his family. Has put things in perspective though: my daughter's boyfriend adores his family but wants to be with her, so I can understand my daughter wanting to be with her's even though I know she loves me loads!!!
Having a mini Christmas dinner when my eldest arrives as she wont be here tomorrow.
Feels like I've done a full day's work. Time for a mince pie and cuppa I think!! |

Cleaning and tidying so that no a thing is out of place in the house, hoovering to within an inch of my life, wrapping the last of the presents, make dinner, wash up, wait for sons girlfriend to come over and play Atmosfear by candlelight, then fall into bed.
Ill start with the cleaning in a mo, just having a little rest |

Well, I'm back from the hairdressers and I hate my hair.
I picked up 2 extra presents while I was waiting for the bus so have wrapped those.
Still got the housework, ironing and packing to do 
In good news, I'm absolutely shattered, which at least means I'll sleept tonight (always struggle on Christmas Eve). |

Just finished my last min shopping. Doing the last bit o laundry then hoovering etc. Roast beef supper this evening and cosy night in. xxx

I'm now at home on the sofa with the quality street (which will be finished before tomorrow if I don't put the lid back on!!) and trying to work up the oomph to make my cheesecake. No idea where I'm gonna put it when it's done though... the fridge is full to the brim!!  |

Well I've just logged into fabs. From 9.30am this morning and finished about 5pm laying carpet tiles and putting new television on the wall.in our kitchen,I said to Mrs T,I would get it all done before we go out to night......so now in the good books |

Spent this morning helping my neighbour defrost her water pipes, sat and wept through Beaches and sang along with Bette, did some last minute shopping, iced christmas cookies and delivered presents to some local kids.
Now sitting chilling prior to breaking out the wine and cheeses with No1 son and wrapping presents together, before driving through to my daughter and grandson in the morning....phew...hope I sleep tonight, if not will be here for a chat with fellow insomniacs. Have a good one all. xxxxxx |

Well, after an emergency dash to Tesco for flowers (long story), I only managed half the housework. I have really gone past caring though.
Husband is doing some ironing as we speak and once he's done that we're going to exchange Christmas cards and give the cat his present.
We're going up to bed at 10.15 when I'll pack our case and read a magazine until the sandman calls my name. |

have just watched the cbeebies oantos for the millionth time...carrots,mince pies and milk out...all winks in bed...give it an hour or so before santa's helper(aka me) attempts to bring down all the pressies in stealth mode with out waking any of the kids...
then a large baileys before starting veg prep for tomorrow.

was supposed to be off down the boozer with my dad but went round his to find him on the sofa under a blanket (my dad never feels the cold  )
seems he's cought my sisters cold so is resting up to make sure he is fit to cook the dinner tomorrow |

We had a lovely day at Beamish, littleun freaked out at The Man in the Big Red Suit but soon succumbed to several chocolate coins. We made out of there about 4pm and spent a few hours tracking Santa, rough & tumbling around the floor, then littleun wanted to join in so Siren had to go do wifey things!!
Cooked a nice late dinner of fried greens with pork steak, bacon & crispy onion topping and now I'm settling down for my first beer of the day watching The Elf before I wrap the last of little leg's pressies up.
