This is a thorny issue.
To answer requires generalising and in most cases there are exceptions. Some people think it's unfair to generalise when it can mean some unattached men are unfairly judged.
Examples include not being able to accommodate, (but he may be a single dad or house-share), or he only wants to meet on weekday daytimes, (which could be down to his work hours). |

As im into photography as a tip look at his photos if he has any on his profile an look at his fingers to see if he is wearing a wedding ring, dead give away, as he usually forgets to take it of when he uploads pics on fabs lol. Hope this tip is usefull also in the picture look in the back ground an see if it looks as though women things are in the back ground of the photo etc. Hope this helps.

Not really answering the OPs question I know but I always say that it's amazing how many fit, handsome, hung, charming, intelligent, single guys of a certain age are on here (you know, exactly the type that would have no problems getting a girlfriend or wife and are at that stage of life where most are settling down) yet they're all genuinely single, oh yes siree!

Prefer to only meet in day times, ask you not to wear perfume (scent on their clothes would be a give away), wouldn't like it if you scratched their back in a tiger moment and never free at the weekend. I'm aware some single guys will have reasons some of these could apply.

I will always meet in a public place for coffee because i want the other person to feel safe e.g cctv etc. I wear a ring even though i am single (though have some very close friends who i often stay with) because it helps prevent males and females hitting on me. I dont answer calls from withheld numbers. I rarely accommodate because of the refurbishment works going at my place e.g all plater hacked back to the walls, floorboards taken up, kitchen ripped out and so on. |

I'm a single parent with sole custody of my child so i rarely accommodate unless he's at a sleepover, and I only talk on the phone to people from fab when he's in bed or at nursery. My kid comes first so if people want to assume I'm married because I don't always tell people about my kid then that's up to them. I won't lose sleep over it tbh. |

I have no.problem with this. My profile says I don't accommodate which is for safety reasons. If a guy has the same I will simply ask.
People with nothing to hide and no guilt will just say that they share a house/live with family/prefer not to for similar reasons to me/have their kids at home etc. A few will also just say it's because they're attached.
People trying to hide something will often bluster or turn it back on me accusing me of being married and trying to get me to invite them to mine to prove that I'm not.
Honesty is the best policy, we don't need every detail but a simple straightforward answer and let the other person make their choice. Some prefer to meet attached people, others really don't. |

Oddly enough, it can be a pain. Im self employed, reasonably ok financially and free of ties. There are lot of females out there and the available females outstrip the supply of available males.

Dust marks etc in the bathroom, if you're allowed to visit, where her stuff has been moved away.
If there's a high proportion of one supermarket's products, they may have been purchased with her staff discount. Her shift work can allow you to meet outside of 9-5.
For those rarer guys who can accom, always take your perfume with you and mark the lampost. Notice how he will try to keep you out of the wardrobes too. Wear an unusual lipstick shade and notice his reaction when it 'accidentall' gets smeared on the towel or curtains.
Feel free to leave your signature kiss mark on the wall, above the bedpost, so he can remember your time together. If he's relaxed about this, he's likely single.
He probably won't want to meet locals, in case you see them together. Where he says he lives may be a long way from where he does, to prevent you tracking him down.
Always insist on seeing official ID in case the contraception doesn't work. Responsible guys are ok with this and enjoy more kids and be involved in their lives as much as possible.

Possible he is a single parent with disabled children and relies on local authority for respite so he can have free time to himself, and even then has a lot to do before his kids return home. Not everybodies situation is cut and dry, only in certain peoples confused heads! |

I'm single too & can't accommodate because I have a teenage son who lives with me.

"I will always meet in a public place for coffee because i want the other person to feel safe e.g cctv etc. I wear a ring even though i am single (though have some very close friends who i often stay with) because it helps prevent males and females hitting on me. I dont answer calls from withheld numbers. I rarely accommodate because of the refurbishment works going at my place e.g all plater hacked back to the walls, floorboards taken up, kitchen ripped out and so on.
Do you find it a big problem, people hitting on you? It's not something that's ever troubled me in recent years.....I'm clearly going to the wrong bars
Oddly enough, it can be a pain. Im self employed, reasonably ok financially and free of ties. There are lot of females out there and the available females outstrip the supply of available males.

You must find it a refreshing change on fab where men outnumber women then. I'm sorry that you feel a woman would force a relationship on you if you didn't wear a ring you must have had some bad experiences with predatory ladies. |

My lads are severely disabled, so I have lots of restrictions. But I don`t have a certificate that says"unmarried", people have to be trusting and patient, or sod off! |

I would imagine that a single father who can't get much time, or someone having their house renovated etc. would simply say so rather than invent different excuses each time someone wants to meet. |
