I know its a REALLY picky thing, but I cannot stand people who send me messages like:
alryt bbz wot u up 2???
Anyone else find this a little bit annoying and i just think it comes across really badly?  |

Hate it here too and one of the reasons why I don`t send winks. But I do like smillies because it can really alter the tone of a message, especially if it`s toungue in cheek and you don`t want to offend! |

Absolutely hate text talk, I find I go a bit dyslexic trying to read it lol
I had a 30yr old message me recently and it was a real put off it felt like I was having a conversation with a 12yr old! |

i cant stand text talk, takes me 3 times as long to decipher it than a normal message lol
trouble is that kids think its normal, someone i know told me they received a CV with text talk in it a while ago  |

I really do not like it, I find it very child like....Text talk is for sending a text on a mobile phone where space is limited, not for sending mails....just my tuppence worth... |

really agree with you there about smilies altering the tone of a message, its hard to get people to understand you properly just through text |

Dont like or do text speak and other forms of"rape" of the beautiful rich English language. Would not go as far as saying that I would not ever reply though... |

I just treat them like a Suduko puzzel and try to decipher them, lol. Sometimes I can do it in ten minutes, lol, but more often than not, it helps pass the odd hour.
