Trouble is, we all have some body fat, so she's either ruling all out, or not being that clear, to let potential meets know whether they'd be ideal or not.

She should have been aware that there's no need to state such requirements. Fat people can't type properly due to their chubby fingers and biscuit crumbs sticking keys. Thus, she wouldn't receive correspondence from them. |

I suspect it's counter productive as the tone will put off many people not just those she wants to discourage. Similar on many profiles, each to their own though...
That said taking offense at a general comment on a profile that isn't even specificly aimed at you? Seriously I really don't get how someone can be that sensitive |

I don't take offence, however I do find such comments a way of telling someone's personality, rude is rude and even if the rudeness isn't aimed at me i wouldnt want to meet someone who can be rude to others

There's plenty of mens profiles I take offence at due to sounding disrespectful to women, but I find them easy to ignore, so I really don't know why this thread is garnering so much attention and stating 'how rude' she is, if someone is not for you? Just ignore, simple  |

I get the 'not for you, find someone else, block, delete, leave a flaming bag of dog poo on their doorstep' are are acceptable solutions, ultimately there's the 'who really gives a fuck' mentality to fall back on.
But we can still all be decent human beings even when expressing a basic preference such as that. Going out of your way to be confrontational ultimately harms yourself the most, but it also may take a few random others with you - there's no positive upside to writing confrontational, aggressive crap like that - its a lose-lose for everyone. |

I still don't understand though, if someone is not for you then they are not for you. Why get upset or start a thread, it's not as if the person contacted you directly and said 'No Fat Fuckers' it was just a profile they came across.....So ignore, why let it cause any angst?
If I started a thread where I stated all the profiles that I didn't like? There'd be no room for other threads |
