did you all know onions are dangerous to dogs I knew chocolate was but onions anything else you know of?

I didnt know about onions no thanks for posting, i know certain types of plants are harmful.

Yes, anything in the onion family! Also lily bulbs. Heard a story of a dog who dug up some lily bulbs, ate them and promptly died.

Either causes liver or kidney failure. Can't remember which one.

I don't give my dogs anything that's not made for dogs, they have their complete food and the frozen meat/tripe I get from the pet shop plus a few treats a day, there's that much they tell you not to give them its the only way I feel safe

I never give them lefts overs

Garlic

Grapes

Raisins

Sultanas

Chocolate the darker the worst

Milk in large amounts as the lactose intolerant

Its amazing how many things are bad for pooches. OUrs has taken to eating bark, which doesnt seem to agree with him lol.

We used to give the dogs stuffing from sunday dinner before finding out about onions.....

that's because cat food is more nutritious than dog food they will also eat cat crap for the same reason
