Bradford

I see A level results are published today, the overall pass rate has risen yet again.

On closer inspection i see that the pass rate for A level maths ( whatever it's called ) has now risen to 102.7%. Excellent job well done.

Oh err, just a minute ....

I have a friend who is a teacher (I really do) and she told me the sage words that the Department of Education apparently tells all new teachers is its main goal: To get above average exam results from all pupils.

So that's a fail, ( do they exist anymore? ) in Statistics.

Anyone ever notice that the press releases always seem to show happy smiling jumping pretty girls?

Where are the piccies og goth/EMO types with their fistful of dark arty certificates or the spotty nerdt geek kids with 17 A levels in wonderful subjects, some as yet unknown

*rant over, goes away to draw piccy of a coffin*
