Should brucie go?

Jump to: Newest in thread

I'm a huge strictly fan (love a bit of Saturday night cabaret) but cannot stand Brucie. Feel its time he hung up his cue cards. What do others think? If /when he does go, who would you like to see replace him?

I know it's only one job but there's young, talent folk out there can't get work 'cos oldies like Brucie (and Stuart Hall), David Jacobs, David Frost and others refused to let go.

You'll notice the list is all male. Once women on tv get to the point where their age exceeds their bust size, they tend to be dumped.

I hear ya which is why my dream replacement would be....(drum roll please) cilla black! Would love to see her back, get rid of Tess and have a male eye candy sidekick to accompany our cill.

Perhaps Angela Ripoff could replace him? - She always manages to come over as insincere AND she did host Come Dancing!

Failing that MAYBE the other Angela??

Merkel! Altho currently I think she is busy doing Strictly Running Europe

Can't stand the programme anyway. Managed 20 seconds of it tonight during which he just came across as a senile old creepy bloke.

I don't blame him so much as the parasites that put him in the position.

Mute to the tele when he does his "piece"... when you have to read off cards who the judges are, the time to go.

And Seen more life and personality/audience engagement in a polystyrene than Tess Daly!!

I think David Frost 'let go' bigtime quite recently.

Yes I think Bruce Forsyth should go, I love Strictly and have watched every series. I've also been lucky enough to go to several of the live tours which are hosted by Kate Thornton, she basically does the job of Bruce & Tess and does it brilliantly I may add, so there's the answer, get rid of the pair of them and give Kate the job, sorted

I'm against ageism full stop.

I'm glad of legislation that allows people to carry on working and not be pensioned off simply because they reach pensionable age.

That said , Bruce should not be fronting strictly.

I might be against ageism but i'm even more against the sentimentality of the older males ( and they are male ) that run t.v. companies.

They are who keep Bruce there.

P.S. I don't watch strictly so I really don't care who fronts it.

Never really watch strictly to be honest. Even though the women in my family love it!!! May have to start watching it though since the majority of women on here love it to. Might be a good conversation starter to work my charms! Hmmm lol
