Car for sale how would you describe yourself .

My ad would read....

Late 1960 s model.

Body work needs lots of loving attention.

Spare tues and twin air bags ( little deflated needs pumping up ).

Takes time to get going and hard to stop once warmed up.

Prefers long regular rides to quick short ones.

Tends to leak a fair bit and has a lovely purr when treated right

Fair offers considered

Clapped out old banger, slow to start and unreliable to make the full journey. Sunken upholstery n bald tyres. Works better in manual than automatic.

Last of it's model in Britain n classified as an endangered species.

Not tooooo many previous owners. Buyer collects!

Caveat emptor

not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

A fine example of this particular model, body work is pristine,, a very long servicing history , requires fluid levels topping up after a long ride, it rides better today than when first ridden, test drives are highly recommended,

ABS as standard,

1940 model, still good body work, few dents after these years, keeps up with modern day traffic but runs out of steam after six hours use.needs a lot of tlc.dont need an mot or tax.so cheap to run.does five miles on two bottles of water, floors a bit rusty so handy when you do run out of water, just push it along.goes well down hills but puffs a bit up hills.brakes outdated so hard to stop once gets going.always kept clean and garaged.

1966 old plodder .

Just one owner but starting to show its age.

It drinks a bit and tends to leak fluids , mainly coolant , if pushed hard .

The suspension is suspect as there appears to be creaking and groaning when under load .

The steering is vague as the vehicle moves with purpose but not necessarily in the right direction .

The upholstery seems to becoming lumpy .

The radio is fixed on Radio 2.

There are a few dents and scars but nothing has fallen off yet.

The ECU is suspect as there appears to be a vagueness on the vehicles actions and obstinacy appearing.

Free for collection only .

Everywhere and nowhere baby

1960's classic.

Goes well when driven carefully. Built as a comfortable cruiser rather than a sports model. Upholstery has seen better days, could do with re-stuffing. Steering pulls to the left slightly but easily compensated for by gentle fingering of the controls.

Leaks a bit of fluid so needs topping up regularly. Once started hard to stop due to dodgy brakes. No ABS or power steering.

Classic early 60's model with a few custom modifications.

Bodywork not too bad.

Low maintanance.

Engine recently rebored.

Overall not a bad runabout for an old Banger

brecon

Late 60's model Landrover, heavily modified for off-road use with chunky tyres, beefier suspension and running gear, a little rough round the edges but polishes up well.

One careful lady owner from new.

Well used, but still capable of out-performing newer models, prefers to be driven hard for extended periods, although refueling stops will be frequent.

Some stiffness in steering joints, and can be temperamental and difficult to start on cold mornings, but a little tinkering underneath will soon have it rumbling along nicely.

First to view will buy, no tyre-kickers or dealers.

Road-tests welcome.
