How do you de-stress?

I hardly drink alcohol unless it's social and I do not smoke. I do not recall a clip to the children's ear being mutually satisfying sooooo what do I do?

Well I come in here and get embroiled in the debates .

I read sometimes.

I write sometimes.

One thing I should do more of though is (a) exercise and (b) meditate. I do find meditation therapeutic so why the heck do I not do it more often . I'm presently intending to learn about the Chakras (via Hinduism rather than modern western adaptations).

I did a 6 week course in Mindfulness meditation recently which really helps.But since Ive stopped, got back to bad habits.I really should do it again.

After a stressfull day, well in fact every day, I feed my horses in the barn, after they have eaten I will sit on a bale of straw, one will come across and put their head on my shoulder and fall asleep, The trust, the gentleness, and the slow calm breathing always relaxes me, and I wonder at nature. Clydesdales are true gentle giants, although I sometimes fall asleep myself and end up on the floor

drag the bike out and just go for an endless ride on roads with very little traffic.

there is something VERY theraputic about the gentle throbbing of a v-twin, through a straight through exhaust, as i bobble along at 50.

Prime example of destressing tonight. Fb came round for a chat, i was feeling bleh!

He pushed for sex, i became more irritable, we wrestled which turned into the giggles and me insisting he fuck me ..... "NOW!"

A Fantastic destresser.... Aggressive wrestle leading to aggressive sex.

On the rare occasion I remember it I roar. It's a good exercise and sounds hilarious: I was driving and I could feel a little aggression/road rage building up, so I roared. It sounded so funny in a confined space that I started laughing so hard. Of course we all realise laughter is therapeutic, right?

I like to pump iron or punch my heavy bag. Can't hit it as hard as I used to though.

Or if I'm feeling a bit tired too, I'll go for a stroll around the woods with our dog.

Then may be back to the village pub for a couple of pints of Tribute

A nice run out on the bike. Not so easy if there is a foot on snow on the ground or there is a thunderstorm.

If I'm really stressed I get my guitar out and write a new guitar part and work on a song, or do something musically constructive, helps everytime!

Short term fix is always running or cycling.

Longterm, on a pretty much ongoing basis, maintaining balance in my life. And focusing on the little things in live that bring happiness (even if momentarily) so the accumulated affect is to be subconsciously focusing on the good in life and not the negative and not getting stressed too easily

I like to Sew.....make some of my own clothes so that can be quite relaxing. I have a very nice guy I meet up with who is a masseuse, he relaxes me.Failing that, I go for a long drive with my music on rather loud.

I am absolutely rubbish at relaxing or destressing. I have just recently discovered that a bath can be relaxing - in the past i haven't really enjoyed baths, prefer showers for the whole getting clean thing. But have had a few baths just for the purpose of relaxing, water as hot as I can bear, dim light maybe candles, and a facecloth which I get hot in the water, wring out and then put over my forehead and eyes. I can almost feel the tension melting away.
