Getting blocked

So a new couple join fab, post pics. I see on the updates page they have posted pics so have a look. Answer the phone, when I go back to doing what I was about to do ( _iew their profile ) I see they have blocked me before I've even had chance to read all about them.. WTF is all that about? |

I can't have public pics on my profile due to my job, I do however state I have pics available.
I didn't actually look at their profile, all I saw was one pic |

I work in a prominent position in a huge multinational that pretty much everyone worldwide knows! My city isn't that big and I'm quite well known internally and externally. I'm pretty sure noone could guess who I am from seeing the pics I have! No pics = alarm bells!! |

I couldn't tell u whether or not I am blocked by anyone cos I don't browse the profiles other than the ones who have looked at me! So is no skin off my nose if I'm blocked or not.
My meets come from people who contact me cos I can't be arsed trawling around for sex  |

I think you need to take a step back and look at yourself no disrespect intended as your taking things to personally in relation to your search .
They did what they thought was best for them the why's and wherefores are nether here nor there in respect to there decision .
They did what was best for them all they did was block you there was no harsh words or anything like that.
It should mean nothing to you in the grand scene of things because its nothing by that I mean so what do you really want to look at the profiles of people who are not interested in you .
Best thing to do is shrug your shoulders and move on not even giving the whole incident a second thought .

Because I don't understand the logic?
Just because someone lives "close" to me, I ain't gonna search for them and block them just by virtue of that?..
You have no Face pics up?..you could be anyone.
Unless your getting harrassed or XYZ...then..
I don't see where the problem is. But like you say it's your choice it just doesn't make sense to me bit odd.
...but then again it makes no difference to me, I live miles away. |

Ironically, I've just blocked a stranger who was wanting me to pick them up. I pointed out I don't know them from Adam, so it wasn't going to happen and their reply was I could get to know them in the car. So I blocked him, as I didn't really fancy having to send another message justifying my decision then possibly getting another reason why I should acquiesce.
Would many peeps pick up a total stranger and take them out with them? |

After six years still amazed people get upset, to the point of starting threads, if they are blocked by strangers.

Well I guess we never know why ppl block others. I have blocked ppl I have been abused by for not replying or just ones who can't take no for an answer but it's like everyone says their choice and we just have to accept it and move on |

If people don't want to put any type of public pic up then it's there prerogative. Possibly you won't be identified at work if you have a chest shot for instance but you are not obliged to put any up. Don't make excuses for it, just say I'm not putting any pics up.
Accept people will block you, for any number of reasons. It doesn't really matter, it's not an insult. Don't compromise yourself for others but accept that you won't be of interest to many people. |

Because of where I live and the 'who's near' as well as the Distance indicator on your profile that tells you how far the person is it would be VERY obvious who I am to those local to me. And you won't be that far tonight so mind your arse  |
