you felt really good about something, an achievement, a personal goal reached, a child of yours having achieved something special or perhaps just having lost a few pounds and looking and feeling great?

Work does that - (in most cases) - gives us a sense of worth, boosts our self esteem and makes us feel like we are doing something worthwhile.

Getting over a fractured shoulder and a shingle like virus, while coping with a daughter that is laid up with a dislocated knee and me having to push her wheel chair for her last Exams, and also coping with sleepless night with my disabled daughter...

All this on my own and very very proud of myself too....

I think you deserve a medal for coping with all that.

I can relate to that moment of pride when your kids have achieved something special and you know it was down to you. Well done!

At the moment I am renovating a Victorian house that I've inherited. Restoring the fireplaces was very exciting. Eventually I will expose the fireplaces on the bedrooms but it's just recently been plastered everywhere and that's extra funds are needed elsewhere.

Am excited about tomorrow because the front of the house is being rendered. It's just fantastic to slowly get the house looking how I want it

Wow sounds like a massive project - but the results will be stunning. Good luck and hope all goes really well and to plan.

I am even older than you and when I get my next degree I will probably be the oldest there but who cares - it is good to keep life long learning going. It makes you a more interesting person

now he never stops eating, and its good to see him looking so happy because what ever he did, all i ever wanted was for him to be happy.

Brillliant news - depression is a horrible thing to happen and not just for the sufferer but for those who have to watch helplessly. So nice to hear he is better now.

Glad to hear it - seriously it is good to acknowledge one's achievements. We tend to focus more on what we did not do well and less on what we could and should be proud of.
