I've won the lottery!!

...No I haven't really!!

I was just watching The Syndicate on BBC1. It's a drama about a syndicate of 5 people that win millions, and their stories. In tonight's episode one guy lost all his mates because they are jealous of his winnings (approx £14 million).

I know for sure that if I won the lottery I would try my best to make sure no-one knew. You would never again know who your true friends were.

Would you tell anyone??

A lad I know won the £43m euro last year and trust me he's had way too much shit for my liking. I wouldn't go public and I'd disappear abroad for a year till the hype died down

Kay Mellor was on radio one yesterday. She said she done a lot of research on lottery winners before she started writing. In her opinion after talking to lottery winners she advises never to go public. Going public causes you too many problems such begging letters, friends and family turning against you etc.

I've never bought a lottery ticket. Winning or being rich doesn't interest me. As Long as I can give my kids a good life/upbringing then I'm as rich as I'll ever need to be...

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I don't play very often so it's unlikely. I do have quite a developed plan for wins of anything from £1m to £80m.

Quite a lot of it goes to charity to some very specific things. The very first thing is to hire a lovely big aeroplane and an island, pay all of my friends' salaries for a month and go on holiday with everyone for a month. Somewhere big enough for us to have time away from each other as well as the space to have lots of very big get togethers.

Well I won the lottery THREE times last week, didn't tell a soul.

With giddy expectations I opened the "good news about your ticket" emails.

£2.50 on the +5, £5.50 on Euromillions and £10 Thunderball!

I promise, my wins won't change me!

No I wouldn't tell anyone, certainly wouldn't have any media coverage. People would guess something as you are bound to spend money on some initial luxury items

And the paparazzi. Nightmare.

I think if I won I'd give secret gifts to lots of little charities/ worthy causes. Like buying the specialist buggy for the family with the disabled kids in the village... but they would never know where it came from.

Actually I know who I'm gonna tell. Got an email all sorted. Remember the lottery logo was a finger pointing down at someone saying "It's you"?

My email has a finger giving everyone the bird saying "It's me!"
