How do you add people other than contacts on your fone?

yeah you can only add with phone numbers on whatsapp, try KIK messenger if you just want to add with usernames

Just been half an hour trying to set it up with names...nowt..then lets try number worked first time wasnt sure if it was an error in install..

I reckon all apps are dodgy in one way or another. Guess that's the risk we take when we download them.

Kiks fine if you don't want to give someone your phone number as with whatsapp you have to. I use both and find whatsapp the most unreliable of the two!! Just don't forget if using whatsapp it links to your phone contacts so don't put a dodgy pic or a sexy status unless you don't mind everyone seeing it!!

Easy to get malware or viruses. Can't remember where I read it

If you have numbers for contacts then there are apps called viber, line and Whatsapp. Like everyone has said kik is good with just usernames.

This kik sounds better if you dont need to give out your mob number. If you see a username you like do you just connect to it?
